Pierre-Yves Hodique

Pierre-Yves Hodique was awarded the highest distinctions in piano, chamber music and vocal accompaniment at the Conservatoire de Paris, studying with Jean-François Heisser, Claire Désert and Anne Le Bozec. In 2011, he won the prize for Best Piano Accompanist at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Cello in Moscow.

 

His chamber music partners include Edgar Moreau, Aurélien Pascal, Alexandra Conunova, Thomas Lefort, Raphaëlle Moreau, Julien Szulman, Adélaïde Ferrière, Nima Sarkechik, as well as the baritone Samuel Hasselhorn, with whom he won the Lied Prize at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger International Voice-Piano Competition in 2013. He has performed in venues such as the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Dortmund Konzerthaus, the Kölner Philharmonie, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Musikverein and the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Lucerne KKL, the Barbican Centre and Wigmore Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Brussels Palais des Beaux-Arts, the Ferrara Theatre, the Fazioli Hall in Sacile, the Bilbao Philharmonic Society, the Oji Hall in Tokyo, the Folle Journée in Nantes, the Flâneries Musicales in Reims, the Radio France Festival in Montpellier, the festivals in Saint-Denis, Nohant, and the Périgord Noir region, the Opéra Grand Avignon, the Grand Théâtre in Aix-en-Provence, the Metz Arsenal, the Louvre Auditorium, the Cité de la Musique, the Seine Musicale, and the Musicales de Bagatelle. Pierre-Yves is a laureate of the Banque Populaire Foundation, the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe, the Fondation Meyer, and the Fondation de France.

 

Assistant professor of piano at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris, he also teaches at the CRR of Boulonge-Billancourt. He has recorded for the Erato label with the cellist Edgar Moreau in 2014 (Diapason d’or découverte and Classique d’or RTL), for the Mirare label with the violinist Thomas Lefort in 2019 as well as for the Initiale label with the violinist Julien Szulman in 2020. In November 2023, under the Scala Music label, he released his first solo album Clairs de lune.
