Maîtrise des Pays de la Loire

The Maîtrise des Pays de la Loire is a children’s choir part of a specially organised music class (CHAM), in partnership with the Collège Sainte-Cécile – La Salle, in Angers. Under the leadership of Pierre-Louis Bonamy, the young singers study music intensively and more particularly choral singing.

The young singers explore a very diverse vocal repertoire, covering all eras and musical genres (opera, sacred music, musical narratives, etc.) and favouring encounters with other arts. This openness allows them to create real collaborations with institutions such as the regional orchestra the ONPL (l’Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire), Angers-Nantes Opéra, the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d’Angers, as well as with ensembles such as the vocal group OMMM, the improvisors of Orange platine or even with the Premiers Plans film festival, the exhibitions and installations of the Collégiale Saint-Martin and the museums of Angers.

The Maîtrise des Pays de la Loire is supported by the Départment de Maine-et-Loire, the City of Angers, the Région Pays-de-la-Loire and the State, DRAC Pays-de-la-Loire, the Crédit Mutuel d’Anjou, the Collège Sainte-Cécile – La Salle, the Diocese of Angers. It is a member of the Institut Français d’Art Choral.
