The soprano C\u00e9line Scheen completed her training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, with Vera R\u00f3zsa, thanks to the support of the Nany Philippart Foundation. She has been collaborating with all the important directors in opera, chamber music or oratorio, baroque, classical or fusion styles, C\u00e9line is like a cameleon adapting her caracter and unique voice to the demands of the works she is giving to hear.<\/p>\n

On stage she has interpreted many roles, the most well known Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Papagena in Mozart\u2019s Magic Flute, l\u2019Amour and Clarine in Plat\u00e9e by Rameau, La Musica & Euridice in Orfeo by Monteverdi. Working with directors llike Wilson and Kentridge, and all the main musical directors in the field of baroque opera all over Europe, touring to Asia and the USA regularly. She was a memorable Venus in Venus and Adonis by John Blow in a production directed by Bertrand Cuiller (DVD avaible) and particularly appreciates her collaboration with Damien Guillon (Le Banquet C\u00e9leste).<\/p>\n

She has recorded many works, namely and recently \u201cWonder Women\u201d (2024) with L\u2019Arpeggiata and Christina Pluhar, and solo recital programs with Philippe Pierlot for Flora (\u201cDolcissimo Sospiro\u201d).<\/p>\n

Passionate about encounters between different disciplines and styles, she collaborated with Pina Bausch, with de Linz Theater Ballet in the show \u201cMusic for a While\u201d with the Choreographic Center in Caen for the show \u201cKiss Me Now\u201d, and participated in many fusion projects with other cultures.<\/p>\n
