Gaspard Dehaene was 16 when his musical encounter with Chopin caused him to give up tennis, his childhood passion, for his life’s passion, music.<\/p>\n
Trained by Anne-Lise Gastaldi at CRR (Regional Conservatory) in Paris, he got his Master\u2019s Degree at CNSMD (National Conservatory of Music) of Paris in 2012, in Bruno Rigutto\u2019s and Denis Pascal\u2019s classes. Afterwards, he was admitted to Salzburg\u2019s Mozarteum in Jacques Rouvier\u2019s class, and further mastered his art with Rena Shereshevskaya at \u00c9cole normale de musique de Paris<\/em> and, in 2017, obtained his Master\u2019s Degree in vocal accompaniment at CNSMD in Anne Le Bozec\u2019s class.<\/p>\n The award recipient of the Pro Musicis<\/em> prize, of the International Competition of San Sebastian, the Piano Campus<\/em>, the Great Prize of the Alain Marinaro competition, he appears in a number of festivals in France \u2014 la Roque d’Anth\u00e9ron, La Folle Journ\u00e9e de Nantes<\/em>, Festival 1001 Notes<\/em>, Printemps des Arts<\/em> of Monte-Carlo, Radio France Montpellier-Occitanie, Fl\u00e2neries musicales de Reims<\/em> (including a Medici TV broadcast), Chopin \u00e0 Bagatelle<\/em>…\u2014 and abroad too, in Europe but also in Morocco, in New-Caledonia and at the Young Artists Festival<\/em> in Beijing.<\/p>\n Due to several experiences in concerto, he has had the opportunity to perform under such conductors as Dmitri Liss, Elena Schwarz, Mihhail Gerts or Flavien Boy, with various orchestras like the \u2018Sinfonia Varsovia\u2019, the \u2018Ural Philharmonic orchestra\u2019 or the \u2018Orchestre Pasdeloup\u2019. His enthusiasm for chamber music has brought him to perform with Anne Queff\u00e9lec, Rapha\u00ebl S\u00e9v\u00e8re, Victor Julien-Laferri\u00e8re, G\u00e9rard Causs\u00e9, Paul Meyer, the \u2018Voce\u2019 and the \u2018Girard\u2019 quartets… He is also a partner of choice for Adrien Boisseau with whom he has recorded two albums warmly welcomed by the music press.<\/p>\n As a laureate of Orsay-Royaumont foundation, Gaspard Dehaene\u2019s great sensitivity to the Lied and the melody repertoire has led him to set up a collaboration with the mezzo-soprano Victoire Bunel, by whom he recorded the \u2018Carte postale\u2019 album, released in January 2021 with B Records<\/em>. Contemporary music is something he cares about a lot: creating in 2007 Une page d’\u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e9ride<\/em> by Pierre Boulez he was privileged enough to work on with the composer himself, he has ever since been requested by such composers as R. Bruneau-Boulmier, F. Choveaux, C. Bray or A. Ben\u00e9teau whose Sonate Douarnenez<\/em> he has recorded.<\/p>\n Other recordings by Gaspard Dehaene include three solo discs under the 1001 Notes<\/em> label : \u2018Fantaisie\u2019 in 2016, \u2018Vers l\u2019ailleurs\u2019 in February 2019 with works by Schubert, Liszt and Bruneau-Boulmier \u2014a record unanimously hailed by the Press\u2014, and recently \u2018\u00c0 la Mazur\u2019, an album dedicated to Chopin, released in 2022.<\/p>\n Among his recent commitments, he made his debut at Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es in March 2025 and performed the whole collection of Liszt\u2019s \u00c9tudes d\u2019ex\u00e9cution transcendante<\/em> at Lisztomanias<\/em> in Ch\u00e2teauroux.<\/p>\n Recently named both an artist of the \u2018Spedidam Generation\u2019 for 2017-2021, and an \u2018Artiste Steinway\u2019 since 2019, Gaspard Dehaene has been teaching as Rena Shereshevskaya\u2019s assistant at \u00c9cole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot<\/em> since September 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Gaspard Dehaene was 16 when his musical encounter with Chopin caused him to give up tennis, his childhood passion, for his life’s passion, music.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":19931,"template":"","class_list":["post-19930","artist","type-artist","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
