Marie-Jos\u00e8phe Jude was born in Nice in 1968 from a French father and a sino-Vietnamese mother. She started to learn piano and harp in her home city before joining the Conservatoire de Paris encouraged by G. Cziffra. She worked with Aldo Ciccolini (piano) and Jean Hubeau (chamber music) and was awarded a first prize in Piano and a concert licence in harp at the Ecole normale in Paris. She then entered the third cycle in Jean-Claude Pennetier\u2019s class.<\/p>\n

At that time, she regularly attended Maria Curcio-Diamand\u2019s lessons in London. She was a finalist at the Clara Haskil Competition in 1989 and won the Victoire de la Musique in the category \u00ab New Talent \u00bb in 1995.<\/p>\n

This is when her career developed internationally; she has appeared in halls and festivals all over the world : from Montpellier to bath, from the Roque d\u2019Anth\u00e9ron to Kuhmo, from Bagatelle to Locarno etc\u2026<\/p>\n

Marie-Jos\u00e8phe Jude is a fine chamber musician who plays with Henri Demarquette and Xavier Phillips (cello), Philippe Graffin, St\u00e9phanie-Marie Degand and Jean-Marc Phillips- Varjab\u00e9dian (violin), Pascal Moragu\u00e8s and Michel Portal (clarinet); Mireille Delunsch, Delphine Haidan\u2026 In 1997 she founded a piano duo with Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Heisser but she also plays with Michel B\u00e9roff, Claire D\u00e9sert, Elena Rozanova, Charles Heisser.<\/p>\n

She has recorded many Cds for the label Lyrinx : Brahms, Mendelssohn, Jolivet (Diapason d\u2019Or), Clara Schumann, Dutilleux-Ohana, Beethoven, Chopin and Ravel-Debussy with Michel B\u00e9roff; also a CD \u201cFlute Transcriptions\u201d, recorded with Raquele Magalh\u00e3es for Nomad Music.
