an entire orchestra at his fingertips\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\nRodolphe Menguy was born on 13 November 1997 in Paris, beginning his musical studies very early at the Boulogne-Billancourt CRR, in the class of Gilles Berard, then with Marie-Paule Siruguet, where he gained his Piano DEM at the age of 14. In 2015, he was unanimously accepted at the CNSMD in Paris, in the class of Denis Pascal and Varduhi Yeritsyan, gaining a Classical Interpreter Artist Diploma in 2022, after receiving his Licence and Master diplomas. He was then admitted to the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, further developing with Benedetto Lupo.<\/p>\n
In 2023, Rodolphe won second prize at the International Piano Star Competition, as well as 3 special prizes. He also won the Young Soloist Prize from M\u00e9dias Francophones Publics 2021, as the candidate for France Musique. He was also the Laur\u00e9at 2021 for the Fondation Banque Populaire, Laur\u00e9at for the Fondation de l\u2019Or du Rhin, Laur\u00e9at for the French American Piano Society and was named R\u00e9v\u00e9lation Classique by Adami in 2018. The same year, he was chosen to be part of the Vivaldi promotion by the Acad\u00e9mie Philippe Jaroussky.<\/p>\n
Rodolphe regularly appears as soloist and chamber musician in prestigious Festivals and Halls: Festival de la Roque d\u2019Anth\u00e9ron, La Folle Journ\u00e9e de Nantes, Festival Radio France Occitanie, Festival Chopin in Paris, Musicales de Normandie, Op\u00e9ra de Saint-\u00c9tienne, Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Bouffes du Nord, Mus\u00e9e Guimet, French Embassy in Washington, French Consulate in New York\u2026<\/p>\n
His first disk, \u201cRhapsodies Hongroises\u201d, came out in May 2023 on the Mirare label, and was applauded by the specialist press: \u201cChoix de France Musique\u201d, 5 stars from Classica<\/em> magazine, 5 Diapasons in Diapason<\/em> magazine, 4.5 stars in the prestigious German magazine FonoForum<\/em>, and more.<\/p>\nRodolphe is an enquiring musician, with a wide repertoire, from the music of Bach to contemporary works, via Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Debussy, Ravel, Bart\u00f3k, Stravinsky, Hindemith, Messiaen, Boulez and on.<\/p>\n
Passionate about chamber music, and a sought-after partner, he works in various groups, and has shared the stage with, in particular, Nathan Mierdl, Sarah J\u00e9gou-Sageman, Rapha\u00eblle Moreau, Nicolas Garrigues, Marie Ducroux, Violaine Despeyroux, Paul Zientara, St\u00e9phanie Huang, Caroline Sypniewski, Philippe Bianconi, Th\u00e9o Fouchenneret, Nathalia Milstein.<\/p>\n
Excited by the meeting of different arts, this cinema lover has also worked on projects combining music and dance, and has created a new version of Stravinsky\u2019s \u201cThe Soldier\u2019s Tale\u201d, as a piano solo, with the actor Bertrand de Roffignac.<\/p>\n
Rodolphe has appeared on many media outlets, including France Musique<\/em>, Musiq3 \u2013 RTBF<\/em>, Medici.tv<\/em>. Through various master classes and academies he has received tutoring from important musical figures such as Michel B\u00e9roff, Philippe Cassard, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Bertrand Chamayou, Claire D\u00e9sert, Nelson Goerner, Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Heisser, David Kadouch, Stephen Kovacevich, Bruno Rigutto, Sir Andr\u00e1s Schiff, Emmanuel Strosser and more.<\/p>\nIn 2022, Rodolphe had his d\u00e9but at the Radio France Auditorium, in a Boulez – Chopin programme, as well as at the Philharmonie de Paris \u2013 Cit\u00e9 de la Musique, in Bartok’s awesome 2nd Concerto, with the Orchestre des Laur\u00e9ats from the Paris Conservatoire, under the direction of Quentin Hindley.<\/p>\n
