Born in the German town of <\/span><span class=\"s6\">D\u00fcren<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> in 1970, he first came to public attention when he won second prize at the 1990 Leeds International Piano Competition and has enjoyed a varied career for over twenty-five years. His versatility as an artist ranges from the core classical repertoire of Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann and Brahms to the romantics Grieg, Tchaikovsky and <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Rachmaninov<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> through to the dazzling <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Lutoslawski<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> concerto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s7\"><span class=\"s6\">In addition to his high-profile career as a pianist, Lars Vogt appears regularly as a conductor and took up the mantle of Music Director of <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Orchestre<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> de <\/span><span class=\"s6\">chambre<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> de Paris in July 2020.<\/span><span class=\"s6\">\u00a0He also continues his relationship with the Royal Northern <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Sinfonia<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> (RNS), now as a Principal Artistic Partner, following a very successful five-year tenure as Music Director. With the RNS he developed a strong international profile with concerts in Amsterdam, Vienna, Budapest <\/span><a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a><span class=\"s6\">and Istanbul, and regular visits to French and German summer festivals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s7\"><span class=\"s6\">As a conductor Lars has also worked with many leading orchestras, including the Cologne and Zurich Chamber Orchestras, <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Orchestre<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> de <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Chambre<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> de Paris, <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Camerata<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> Salzburg, Deutsche <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Kammerphilharmonie<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> Bremen, Hannover Opera Orchestra, Frankfurt <\/span><span class=\"s6\">Museumorchester<\/span><span class=\"s6\"> Warsaw Philharmonic, and the Sydney, Singapore and New Zealand symphony orchestras.
