The winner of an Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2004, Tai Murray was named a BBC New Generation Artist (2008-10).<\/p>\n
She has performed as a guest soloist on the stages of such halls as the Barbican Centre, Orchestra Hall in Chicago, Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, and the Shanghai Concert Hall, performing with such ensembles as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar. Tai Murray now resides in Berlin. Her appearances in Germany include concerts at the Berlin Konzerthaus and Philharmonie (Kammermusiksaal), projects with the Philharmonic Staatsorchester of Mainz and D\u00fcsseldorfer Symphoniker, and tours with the Brandenburger Symphoniker and Niederrheinische Sinfoniker.<\/p>\n
As a recitalist Tai Murray has visited many of the world\u2019s capitals, having appeared in Berlin, Chicago, Hamburg, London, New York, and Washington D.C. among others. She will return to the Wigmore Hall in both 2013 and 2014. As a chamber musician, she has toured with Musicians from Marlboro and was a member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two (2004-06). Festival appearances include the West Cork Festival in Ireland and the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival in the USA.<\/p>\n
Tai Murray\u2019s critically acclaimed debut recording for harmonia mundi of Ysaye\u2019s Six Sonatas for solo violin was released in February 2012.
