A teacher at the Paris Conservatory and the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Paul Montag was initiated to the piano at the age of 4.<\/p>\n
At 13, he was admitted to the Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP) in the class of Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Heisser. Then he went on to improve his skills with Christian Ivaldi at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and he received advice from Jean-Claude Pennetier and Paul Badura- Skoda.<\/p>\n
A winner of the Cziffra Foundation and the Charles Oulmont Prize of the Fondation de France, he has been invited from an early age to perform as a soloist and a chamber musician at the most renowned festivals throughout Europe, the United States, Canada, Asia and the Maghreb. In January 2020, he performed at the Mozartwoche in Salzburg, playing W.A. Mozart\u2019s fortepiano.<\/p>\n
Fond of solo repertoire as well as chamber and vocal music, he has performed on stage with numerous musical partners including Pumeza Matshikiza, Rolando Villaz\u00f3n, Karine Deshayes, Henri Demarquette and Rapha\u00ebl S\u00e9v\u00e8re with whom he has formed a duet for several years.<\/p>\n
