Nathalia Milstein was born into a family of Russian musicians in Lyon in 1995 and began learning the piano at the age of four with her father, Serguei Milstein. She continued her studies with Nelson Goerner at the Haute \u00c9cole de Musique de Gen\u00e8ve, then with Andr\u00e1s Schiff at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin.<\/p>\n
After winning First Prize at the Tenth Dublin International Piano Competition in May 2015, Nathalia Milstein met with international success; since then she has been heard as a recitalist or with orchestra in a number of prestigious festivals, including La Roque d\u2019Anth\u00e9ron, Fl\u00e2neries Musicales de Reims, the Zaubersee Festival in Lucerne and La Folle Journ\u00e9e, and in such leading concert venues as Zankel Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Pierre Boulez Saal and the Auditorium de Radio France.<\/p>\n
She also won the Prix Jeune Soliste des M\u00e9dias Francophones Publics 2017.<\/p>\n
An enthusiastic chamber musician, Nathalia appears regularly with renowned musicians and has appeared as a guest at such festivals as the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, the Intonations <\/em>Festival in Berlin and the Festival international de Colmar. She was also invited to collaborate with the Pra\u017e\u00e1k Quartet on their recording of works by Smetana.<\/p>\n For several years she has formed a duo with her sister, the violinist Maria Milstein; together they have made three recordings, \u2018La Sonate de Vinteuil\u2019 (2017), \u2018Ravel Voyageur\u2019 (2019) and \u2018Schubert \u2013 Complete Works for Violin and Piano\u2019 (2024), all released on Mirare.<\/p>\n With the support of the Fondation Safran and Fondation Tempo, Nathalia Milstein has already recorded an earlier solo album coupling works by Prokofiev and Ravel in 2018, followed by a second solo album titled \u2018Visions Fugitives\u2019 in 2021, both released on Mirare.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Nathalia Milstein was born into a family of Russian musicians in Lyon in 1995 and began learning the piano at the age of four with her father, Serguei Milstein.
