Born in 1983, Maude Gratton studied the harpsichord and the organ with Dominique Ferran, Pierre Hanta\u00ef, Louis Robilliard, Michel Bouvard, and Olivier Latry. In 2003 she won second prize at the Bruges International Organ Competition and was named \u2018Young Soloist 2006 of French-Speaking Public Radio Stations\u2019. She is interested in the various keyboard instruments and also plays the clavichord and the fortepiano. Her first recording (works by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach on Mirare) won a Diapason d\u2019Or of the year for 2009 and was named Critics\u2019 Choice in Gramophone. In 2011 she founded the ensemble Contre-\u00c9clisse and the Acad\u00e9mie de Musique Ancienne de Saint-Loup. Since 2012 she has been artistic director of the festival Musiques en G\u00e2tine. She is also a faculty member of the Vannes Early Music Institute, directed by Bruno Cocset. Maude Gratton gives regular recitals, and performs frequently with Philippe Pierlot, Bruno Cocset, Damien Guillon, and J\u00e9r\u00f4me Hanta\u00ef, and in the ensembles Le Concert Fran\u00e7ais (Pierre Hanta\u00ef) and Collegium Vocale Gent (Philippe Herreweghe).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
