Jean-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Neuburger has rapidly established himself as one of the most gifted musicians of his generation and is an admired interpreter of a broad repertory ranging from Bach to composers of the twenty-first century. Jean-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Neuburger is invited as guest artist to such international festivals as Verbier, Lucerne, Menton, La Roque-d\u2019Anth\u00e9ron, Saratoga, and La Jolla Music Society, and has given recitals at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Radio France, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Bouffes du Nord, La Scala Paris, the Cit\u00e9 de la Musique, the Philharmonie de Paris and the Berlin Philharmonie. As a chamber musician, he performs with Renaud Capu\u00e7on, Bertrand Chamayou, Tatjana Vassiljeva, and the Thymos, Modigliani and \u00c9b\u00e8ne quartets. He devotes a significant part of his musical activity to contemporary music, and has given the world premieres of works by Bruno Mantovani, Philipp Maintz, Philippe Hurel and Yves Chauris, and of Philippe Manoury\u2019s concerto for piano and electronics Echo-Daimonon.<\/p>\n
He is also an acclaimed composer, whose works include Aube, commissioned by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Christoph von Dohn\u00e1nyi (and subsequently revived by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestre de Paris), his Piano Concerto no.1 which he premiered with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Jonathan Stockhammer in 2018, and most recently Faits et gestes, commissioned by Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Roth and the G\u00fcrzenich-Orchester K\u00f6ln, who premiered it in 2019. His extensive discography on the Mirare label reflects his eclectic and varied repertory \u2013 Ravel, Bach, Brahms, Liszt, Debussy, Neuburger, H\u00e9rold, Barraqu\u00e9 etc. \u2013 and has received great acclaim in the French and international press.<\/p>\n
Jean-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Neuburger studied piano, organ and composition before entering the Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris at the age of thirteen. He subsequently did postgraduate work in Geneva with Michael Jarrell. He was awarded the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Prize by the Acad\u00e9mie des Beaux-Arts in 2010, and the Herv\u00e9 Dugardin Prize of the Sacem in 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
