Born into a musical family, Guillaume Cuiller approaches music through his oboe with Bernard Delcambre, then continues with Daniel Arrignon and Jacques Tys. He received a full musical education at the senior conservatoires (CNSMD) in Lyon and Paris on modern and baroque instruments. Nowadays, he devotes most of his time to performing on period instruments, and to the rediscovery of the historic repertoire.
As a member of the Stradivaria orchestra for many years, he became involved with artistic direction in 2020, working especially to develop the classical repertoire for wind instruments. He was appointed as the orchestra’s artistic director in 2023.
He also collaborates regularly with Le Concert spirituel (Hervé Niquet), Opera Fuoco (David Stern), Les Musiciens du Louvre (Marc Minkowski), Le Banquet céleste, and Pulcinella (Ophélie Gaillard).
As a qualified teacher, passionate about passing on his own skills, he now teaches at the Conservatoire Maurice-Ravel de Levallois.
